Mutraprash è un elisir di erbe depurative che promuove il benessere dei reni e delle vie urinarie. I problemi escretori sono causati da un uso eccessivo di sale, alcol, caffè e altri stimolanti, da un consumo eccessivo di alcol, da un indebolimento della funzione renale, da ritenzione idrica, da escrezione irregolare, da raffreddori o da stress psicologico. Si manifestano con una serie di disturbi funzionali del sistema escretore.
Dose consigliata
Assumere un cucchiaino (circa 5 g) 2-3 volte al giorno da solo o con una tazza di latte o acqua tiepidi. Per una bevanda deliziosa, mescolare un cucchiaino da tè in 250 ml di latte o acqua tiepidi.
Uso
Gli elisir a base di erbe ayurvediche rafforzano il nutrimento dei tessuti del corpo (dhatus) e promuovono la purificazione degli apparati dell’organismo (srótamsi). Fanno parte dei trattamenti di ringiovanimento e rivitalizzazione del corpo e della mente (rasayana). Vengono tradizionalmente assunti con latte caldo o acqua, che la medicina ayurvedica utilizza come mezzo o medium (anupana) per la preparazione, l'utilizzo, la stabilizzazione e il migliore assorbimento dei preparati a base di erbe. Altri ingredienti per potenziare l'azione terapeutica delle erbe (vehikula) sono il miele, lo sciroppo di canna o lo zucchero grezzo, il burro chiarificato (ghee) o l'olio.
Si raccomanda di assumere non più di due elisir di erbe contemporaneamente. È possibile alternare più elisir su base giornaliera o settimanale, purché vengano utilizzati per normalizzare sintomi generici dovuti ad alterazioni della salute fisica o mentale. Per un'azione ottimale, assumerli prima dei pasti e separatamente, a distanza di un'ora l'uno dall'altro. Per un effetto più intenso sulla salute fisica o mentale, gli elisir devono essere assunti in prospettiva di un trattamento ayurvedico più lungo, per un periodo di 1-3 mesi, secondo il dosaggio giornaliero indicato sulla confezione. Il gusto specifico di ogni elisir fa parte dell'azione terapeutica e corrisponde alle proprietà ayurvediche dei sei gusti
